I was raised in Küsnacht, the “Goldcoast” of the Lake of Zürich.Our family
all moved to the French speaking part of Switzerland - Geneva, Montreux,
& Chesières near Villars. We moved to the USA in1966, when my daughter was
2 months old. We lived in Memphis, Tennessee, where my second daughter

Bruno has been in the US since 1963 and Maggie joined him in
1979. All 49 years of Bruno's career was spent in the Hospitality
Industry and Maggie, after working in the Jewelry Industry became
a self-taught Pastry Chef working in Hotels, Restaurants and
Bakeries. Bruno's accreditations include certification as a Master
Chef, Hotel Administrator and Sommelier. The Cantienis moved to

Irene was raised in Degersheim, Switzerland, and also lived in Lausanne and
Edinburgh (Scotland). Luc was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. We both
moved separately to Montreal, Canada, where we met for the first time and
married in 1965 & adopted two children in 1976. After living in Princeton, N.J.,
Luc decided to retire from Wyeth-Ayerst and we moved to the desert in 1991
which has been our inspiration ever since. We volunteered building homes with
Habitat for Humanity for 11 years. We are thrilled to be part of the Tucson Swiss Club.

to know what it was all about...until I fell in love in Mexico where I met the love
of my life and now wife of 25 years. After six years living and working in Mexico,
I got a job offer in Tucson which I took over two decades ago and made it my home.
My wife Lupita and I have two marvelous children, Gabriel born in 1993 and Jocelyne
one year later. I am a Real Estate agent and have been running my own brokerage since 2005.

moved to Emmenbruecke, Luzern, when I was ten. After completing my toolmaker
apprenticeship & compulsory military service, I got a job at Visioneering, Inc
in Frasier, Michigan. I emigrated to the States starting my new job in January of 1967.
I was an active member of the Detroit Swiss Society. Terry and I got married
in 1970. We have two children, a daughter and a son. Our son Wally lives in Tucson.
After a forty+ year rewarding and satisfying carrier in the machine tool business, Terry
and I moved to Marana, Arizona. We have been permanent residents since 2007 and
love our retirement in Southern Arizona

My roots to Switzerland run back to the 17th century. My ancestors primarily lived
in the Cantons of Zurich and Bern. My 7th & 5th great grandparents came to America in the early
1700s. Hans Herr is a direct-line ancestor on both my Grandmother and Grandfather’s
sides of the family. The Hans Herr house is in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania
. I have lived in Pennsylvania & Florida, where I taught for 36 years, prior to moving
to Tucson in 2001. I have visited Switzerland numerous times, recently spending
two weeks in a chalet in Kandersteg from which we had train access throughout
Switzerland. Had a great time. Loved it.

Max and I feel closely connected to Tucson. Max spent a 1/2 year study-leave
here in the winter of 1978/79. We have been in Tucson with our three children
and all of us are drawn to Tucson, hence come here regularly. In the past we

I continued my studies and worked. I eventually married Alix and after a few more
